Hey guys, I know i'm likely to be banned or be forever ignored from this point on but i need to ask if anyone her knows about the restriction code on this phone I have bought a second hand 8310 due to needing my t68m repaired and i cannot use it with my sim card I have tried it with two different sims o2 and vodaphone and it asks for a restriction code as the phone is restricted from these sim cards. Can anyone help my as I would have spent a lot of money and cannot get this phone to work. Help me I can not even sell this phone on as I cannot prove it works. All I know is when I bought it the guy said it worked on all sims and it had a T-mobile sim in it, which he showed me worked. HELP I never had this problem with SE why oh why did I choose Nokia, I must now be cursed!!!!!!!

you will have to get the code from t-mobile or pay someone to unlock it.

Ur phone is locked to t-mobile, I think u should scan the previous posts, coz I remember there was a guy trying to unlock th T68 that he bought. but I believe it was a different network. I doubt that it's the same procedure.
best of luck

This post should be moved to 'other manufacturers'. We don't want any Nokia nonsense in the General area.

There are quite a lot of unlocking kits for sale on the net for nokias. I don't know if they do the newer models like 8310 or just the old ones.
I have paid to get my old phone (nokia 6150... REALLY old) unlocked just as a spare phone, for when I get visitors from nz. It cost £15 from some dodgy little store in kings cross.

Hope that helps.

The Nokia 8310 is a new DCT4 phone, which has only recently been able to be unlocked.
I know a there a lot of people now offering this service though, most charging between £20-£30.

I presume you are in England because of the networks you mentioned, I can give you the contact details of a few people who can unlock it for you if u want.
