Problems with K700 and GPRS - not connecting! |

I can't get online!! When I try, it stays on the 'loading' page until it times out, then displays the message "No previous content available. Stay in browser?" No matter if you press yes or no, it takes you back to the standby screen and the globe symbol disappears.
The little globe symbol does appear whilst it tries to connect, and was connecting to the GPRS fine until I got the settings for checking my emails downloaded from the website. It seems to be since I did this that it won't connect - and the GPRS settings were sent from O2 and were correct as I was able to connect.
EDIT: I can still seem to be able to get online to check/recieve emails though.
Anyone got any ideas so I can get back online whilst out and about?
Cheers!

@Sammy_boy
Here's a quote from "CyberVisitor" that worked for me (I had the same problem as you) and he had a fix for this earlier. Read at: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=63392&start=30 (It's the third message from above.)

Make sure you have choosen "wap" in internet settings with the correct IP. Not "html" with proxy turned on. That should only be used if the phone is branded (it's a thing operators use in order to block you from visiting Sony Ericssons Fun & Downloads site and instead force you to use the operators download site so they can charge you for pictures, tones etc).
Don't trust that the above is fixed automatically if the settings are sent to your phone. Make manually sure that the settings are as wanted.

@william - thanks for that, it worked, back online again!!
It's quite ironic - me and a few others had a bit of flame war with Cybervisitor a few days ago on a totally separate matter - and here's some of his advice helping me! All's fair in love, war, and internet phone forums

Actually it's my advice helping you... you see, I am CyberVisitor but I was banned due to my stupidity at that flame war! So it's kind of me you jumped at (and me at you)... I was so glad my advice helped you so I just had to be honest... to bad though, now that the word is out I will be banned again in a few seconds by laffen or masseur. Damn, I regret that evening...

I had my suspicions.....
However, we all make mistakes, and I think we all got a bit carried away - it wasn't even a topic like religion, war or politics, the usual ones that cause these kind of arguments. It was branding on mobile phones!!! Annoying admittedly, but not enought to have a huge argument over. I guess I got sucked in a bit myself.
If you're little bit of advice was an olive branch, then I accept it
