Additional language for T9? |

Hey guys,
I'd like to add German to my T9 dictionary, as I'm writing msgs in both - English and German. Can anyone tell me if this is possible at all? And if yes, where can I find the language file and how do I install it?
Cheers,

Eh... sorry. You're right. I haven't specified this. No, I have a K700i bought in the South-Pacific Area (so there is no German included)
Cheers

I guess it means you would have to change your phones FW with a version having german in it. Like my T230 has hindi T9 input.

In the UK we seem to get English/French/German T9 as standard. I'd like Dutch, too.

eh ok. thanks... can I do that myself? I've read here about some SonyEricsson Service Center that can do that. I'm living in Melbourne, Australia and bought my phone via Ebay. Do you know where I can update my FW? And does it cost anything?
Thanks a lot!

The firmware versions are often region specific. Email/phone SE AU and ask he they can do German T9. You might end up with a European update (i.e. British English rather than Australian English). They don't usually charge.

You can usually request a language change + firmware upgrade at the service centre and it's free in Western Europe. Elsewhere, you may have to use your social engineering skill. It changes the languages available on the phone menu and T9. |
