there comes a time in anyones life, when he's had enough of everything in his country and needs a change, which is what is happening to me... well kind of, actually i just finished high school and am going off to uni in the Uk (warwick to be exact) in september!
SO!! why this topic? weell, i need advice about mobile phone services:
so hard question first:
which is the best service provider (a number of factors such as coverage and price)?
is 3 worth it or are the conventional providers better?
whats the plan system like in the Uk?
yeah thats all i can think of now, but if anybody can answer these muddled questions, i'll be thankful!

Hi, well, briefly, I don't think there's much between the 4 main providers - Vodafone, O2, Orange, and T-Mobile. Imo Orange and O2 (who I'm with at the moment) are about the best of the lot. If you don't like branding on your phone, O2 is the best one to go for as they don't brand phones much. Costwise, they are all basically the same, so it's down to a matter of personal preference, and how good the signal is in the certain area you're going to be living/spending the most time in.
With regards to 3, they are cheaper at the moment, with them trying their best to attract people to their contract and pay as you go tariffs by offering more free minutes/cheaper rates for your money. However, their signal only covers something like 70-80% of the population, whereas the other 4 all cover something like 98%. I personally wouldn't bother with them at the moment, despite being cheaper and a 3G network. Best wait for them to sort their coverage probs out.
