Just wondering if anyone is aware of any software that currently supports the K700i in terms of backing up data and saving SMSs. When I was using my Nokia, I could use Oxygen to backup my data. I've actually tried Float's mobile agent, but it doesn't seem to be able to read my messages. Thanks in advance guys!

Checked out funSMS, it's actually a palm utilty .prc file right? Does it mean I have to have a palm and use the palm with my K700i? Any other utilities that directly interacts with my K700i?

FMA works for me, and I don't see why it wouldn't work for you. You may need to refresh the messages, then it will load them all.

So connect to the phone, go to the messages page, then click Refresh from the toolbar, it should then load all the messages.

Yeah, but be sure to copy them over to Archive. If you delete the messeges on the phone it will be deleted in the inbox of fma too at your next refresh

We don't plan to support non-Symbian SonyEricsson phones. We support only symbian based SE P800 and P900 in Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS phones ( http://www.opm-2.com/symbian/ ). However, if you need to get messages info from your old Nokias to SE K700i there is one way, how to save information:

1) Read all SMS messages from your Nokia with Oxygen Phone Manager II
2) Export SMS messages to .CSV , .RTF or plaint-text format

Now you can send this info to your phone by e-mail, SMS or MMS in messages body.

Yes, it isn't synchronization with K700i at all, but you can still see info from messages text, recepient's and sender's info, message date porpeties etc.

You should consider that, SE could need some more good phone editing software and it should be a big market there.

When I bought my data cable I got this app with it that saves your phonebook, SMS, and has a simple file manager. It also has a melody composer and MMS composer. Download it from my web space.

There is a software out there for this purpose and more! I found it few days ago and it does support the K700i. Check it.
