An increase in the total of her subscribing base, OTEnet achieved, for the first half-year period of 2004 compared to the same period 2003, according to the current statement of group GREEK TELECOME (OTE).
Concretely, on 30 June 2004, the OTEnet had 256400 consuming customers. In this number all dial-up and OnDSL Home subscribers are included as well as the users of cards of pre-paid time, of access in the Internet. In regard to the enterprising market, companies of OTEnet amounted in 8330. In this category ,are included all the customers of permanent lines, VPN, OnDSL Office subscribers as well as the customers of Data Center of OTEnet.
An important increase of 50.3% of the turnover of OTEnet presented for the first half-year period of 2004 in unified base (that is to say with the subsidiary companies of Voice@net, Travel.gr and OTEnet Cyprus S.A.) and it amounted at 46 million Euros from 30.6 million Euros of the same period of 2003. The profits pre taxes, interest and dampings (EBITDA) amounted in 6.1 million Euros from 5.5 million Euros of the equivalent period of 2003.
This profitability is a result of the increase of numbers of cliental base and income of company, the import of new services of added value, the maximisation of use of Internet services, as well as the exploitation of investments. The improvement of the results is also owed also in the increase of turnover of Voice@net by OTEnet, who amounted in 7.4 million Euros from 2.8 million Euros, the corresponding period of 2003, showing an increase of 164%. Also, the profits pre taxes of Voice@net by OTEnet amounted in 116 thousand Euros against losses of 50 thousand Euros, the corresponding period of 2003.
