A Kaspersky Labs researchers said yesterday that terrorists will cripple the Internet August 26 -- tomorrow. Europe and the U.S. will be most hard hit, he claims, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. The sky might fall, too, but that's a relatively harmless threat.

The internet cannot be taken down, as it connects in so many different ways. It includes lan, gprs, radio and so on. It cant physically be taken down, but as some people already said, it might be a virus infecting your moms computer :-*.
