Please guys gimme a hand in this Whenever I'm trying to open outlook it gives me a error "Unable to open your defualt email folders. Outlook could not start beacuse a location to send and recieve mail could not be found. To add a location, such as personal folder..blah blah:" But the thing is I cannot even add a foldr Pls guys I need some help here.

Do you use Outlook or Outlook Express?

I assume you are using WinXp or Win2000.... check C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
for the pst files... if they are there, which they probably will be. Try reinstalling Outlook/Office. You can make a copy of the above folder if you wanna try to restore the folders after the installation.

Actually i reinstalled outlook. But to no avail :-( plus i don't care bout data i just want to sync address book of dad's communicator with pc thanks cytech!

The PST files are not there What should I do? Please help!

Did you follow the path correctly?
What files do you have in that directory?
I've not had no .pst file before and a reinstall should have fixed. Do you know ANYONE with same version of outlook you can copy .pst files from?
I'll check with my Windows girls when they get in this morning

Just moved my .pst files and loaded Outlook and it prompted to created or look for existing. Are you 100% you have looked in the above path correctly? I'd remove, reboot and re-install Outlook if you have.
