I was woken up early by my mobile ringing in the morning today. The call was from vodafone asking me if I plan to stay with them for another 18 months. I have been with voda UK for almost 4 years now so I said I probably will, to which I was informed that I qualify for a special offer if I say yes to staying with voda for another 18 months. After saying yes cuz I was half asleep and wanted to go back to bed quickly the sales advisor said that my voda account has been credited with £75 because of my loyalty to the network. Cool or what??

Nice marketing, but dont forget to read the small text written at the end of your new contract if it is...

I am assuming for that you have commited contractually to stay with vodafone for 18 months or is this just a freebie with no commitment such that you could go elsewhere tomorrow if you wanted?

I too recieved a call from Vodafone AUS. Basically they were offering me a better plan than what i was currently on (so they thought). I kindly declined by saying thankyou but no thanks. I advised them that i do intend on being loyal and staying with them cause the other 2 operators.... didn't offer the service Voda did.
Just before the end of our conversation, the sales rep offered me a free phone (no hidden contracts or fees) from a selection of choices they had on offer. Again... i said thankyou but no thanks as i have 2 wonderful Sony Ericsson phones (K700i - used Z600) and would not have any use for a 3rd one. He continued on by saying... its yours you have qualified for it... blah blah blah, give to your parents, girlfriend... or sell it on Ebay if you like.... which i did in the end for an amount of AUD $330.00 it's been a pleasure doing business with you.
Oh... by the way.... it was a Vodafone branded V525!

Yeah I have commited contractually to stay with vodafone for another period of 18 months in order to qualify for this offer, so not a total freebie but still good. |

Actually upgrading is the first thing that came to my mind as well, so I checked it out and I can still upgrade as normal. Some one over here must have had this offer as well. I can't be the only one surely. |

I've been with vodafone coming up on 5 years, about 6 months ago i had a bill of £350, and they just chalked it off!, They were going to give me a free handset, but i told them i didnt want it, i was happy with my p900, and they said "oh well, then we will pay your billl for you"! Was well chuffed.
