The Webviewer you mentioned is the only one I know of (have searched, but not found any other similar app for K700).

The one provided is a WAP blowser. He requested a normal HTML browser, which is not the same.

Hello. I am having problems connecting with Webviewer on my K700. I think I need to explain how GPRS works with our carrier first though:

When I had my previous Siemens SX1 phone, the carrier's automated service would send me 3 gprs setup installation messages: one for Wap, one for MMS, and one for I don't know what (GPRS?!? Probably Internet?!?). The service is called "Action", so the internet profiles would be called "WapAction", "MMSAction", and "Action". On the SX1 I would use Action and a browser like Netfront to browse the web normally.

But since that won't work with K700, I learned from here that webviewer is the way to go for Java phones like the k700. I sent the Jar file to the phone but never managed to make a successfull connection. Here is the catch though: The carrier only seemed to send 2 installation messages for the K700: "WapAction" and "MMSAction". Is it because K700 doesn't support HTML from the getgo?

What would be the solution to get Webviewer working? I tried to create an internet profile akin to the missing "action", along with a corresponding "Action" data account, but not sure I nailed the settings right, as it didn't work. I simply get "Network Error". I also placed that "Action" data account in the first spot of data accounts (read somewhere it's needed), but that didn't work either. So only MMS and Wap work so far.

To be honest, I don't quite understand WAP or GPRS so maybe that's why I can't get it to work. How come there is a "Wap or HTML" selection on the settings at Internet Profiles, does it only imply light HTML? Some sites work fine on the Wap account (like google, but not the results you get from Google).

Since I read here in several places that people got Webviewer working, I am assuming it's a problem with my settings? Any ideas?

Thanks for the great discussions/reviews/everything here (^_^).

@BuJasim:

It seems you do not have the correct "Internet GPRS" settings installed in your phone.

Your mobile service provider should be able to tell you how to set this up.

You might also look at SE's support pages. They might have the settings for your provider and phone.

Or tell us what country and provider you have. Maybe someone here has gotten this working.

@HjJ

Thanks for the reply. I will see if I can setup the Internet GPRS on my own, since like I said the automated ones from the system don't contain the Internet settings for this phone (but it does for others!).

@Rifqi

Thanks for the suggestion, but like I said in my post I have tried Webviewer with no luck, so I guess it is a problem with my settings.
