hi i have a sony ericsson t610 it has been working ok but last week it locked up on me when i put my husbands sim in it it works ok any ideas many thanks diane

You probably locked your sim card. Please call your operator to unlock it. You need puk code.

Does any (error) messages show up? If so, what do they say?

@Elrond: If the phone is SIM-locked, doesn't one need the PUK code and not the PUK2 code? As far as I know the PIN2 and PUK2 codes are for special network services only.

Bico,u r right in every country and every operator but not in Sk orange. We have Puk or Puk 2 code .

When you say it "locks up", what happens, is there a message, or does it not start up at all?

That is very strange, if it works the other way around, can't you have your husbands phone, and then he can have your phone?

Ok, at least that eliminates the SIM-lock theory.

Does the problem occur after you have been using the phone for a while or does it occur immediately after turning it on? If it occurs immediately after turning it on, take it very easy next time and let it load and initialize everything before you touch anything at all.
