The reason why it's only available in the states is cuz it's a CDMA phone.

Go for the v3 RAZR. It's nice. The v551 looks like the v400 (v300 in Europe) but with video playback and recording and EDGE. No outer color screen or 1.3 megapixel camera....

My moto v400 (v300 quad band version). But it was "repaired" by my service provider (Cingular USA). They are no better either. It's frustrating. I'm waiting on the z500 release!

I'm using the a630 at this time (prototype) and one thing that truly annoys me is that sometimes I'll send a text message and I'll get a reply that it could not be sent. Upon opening my outbox, the text is there but it's blank and it can't be opened. It goes crazy after that. I have to delete the text and type a new one... really annoying. The v400 has serious problems in regards to the earpiece. A lot of no sound issues on that phone. As soon as the s700 is out, it's "Goodbye Moto!"

I'm an American born Mexican that knows the difference between quality and garbage. Motorola has taken steps in improving their phones but are still behind Sony-Ericsson and even Nokia in terms of quality. I'd used the v phones and really liked them if it wasn't for their quality issues. Our carrier has discountinued the v600 (after having it for only 2-3 months) due to faulty RF in one of our US bands.
