For some time, we have heard for researches in road safety that prompt drivers to use some appliance of open discussion or Handsfree because they are more concetrated in the movement and in control. This sector of research however, it is limited in the way that affects the use of mobile telephone in the perception and reflexes of the driver. A new impressive research on behalf of Plantronics that was done in California of United States, showed that the use of Handsfree ensures, not only more concentration in the street, but helps maintaining the driving dexterity in highelevels. In a specifically shaped simulator of car, participants were driving a distance of two conditions and have been evaluated with their driving faculties. In first, they drove while they kept in their hand the appliance of their telephone, while to second they spoke with the use of Handsfree. It was found that at the second treaty, there was perceptibly improved the time of reaction of the driver, the driving precision, and the maintenance of speed of vehicle.
The concretisation of this research, was done from Design Science, a independent inquiring team that studies the human factor an in the past it has undertaken also other similar researches for institutions like the Ministry of Transportation of USA. The basic stimulus was the question: The use of Handsfree in mobile telephone improves the driving faculty"? Naturally, and as it was expected, the answer on all sectors is "Yes, the sure way, it is when you deive with both two hands to the wheel. For the drivers that they make use of their mobile telephone, the Handsfree is an important aid in keeping their driving faculty in high levels ", Phd. Stephen Wilcox declared, head of Design Science.
The particiants were 24 and three basic results were made:
The 71% participating maintained more precise course when they used Handsfree
All participating, had smaller time of reaction in a sudden stop when they used Handsfree.
The 92% participating, maintained more constant speed when they used Handsfree
The general director of Plantronics, Beth Johnson commenting the results of research stressed that these clues "lead" to the conclusion that it is sure we drive also with both hands. It supplemented however, that these researches, "they make good not only in the institutions, but also in the wide public that is been informed and becomes more realised as a person when driving.
