The British deputies should be feeling quite pleased in few months, sice the British Parliament decided the beginning of competition for the wireless networking of building of Parliament!
According to the person in charge of the department of supplies of Parliament, Sheila Paterson, the aim is not still clarified. Initially they want to learn what goes on in this market, in order to set up the network. For example, it has not been decided even, if the network will cover only the region of Parliament and around the building installations or if it wil provide more special services in deputies, with continuous access in their data from any point they wish. Naturally in order this to happen there must be an increased requirement in safety, but this is something that is from the start asked from those interested. Finally, apart from safety, the new network will be interlinked with the existing wired network and will allow the connection of appliances (mobile, PDAs, and laptops of deputies), with networks of mobile telephony and with other wireless appliances via Microsoft Exchange software.
