I like my DAB radio and my telescope (if that counts!) Very therapeutic star gazing!

I-River.

Its a lot better than the I_Pod...you only get 8 hours battery time on it And the fact that I-Pod's batteries dont last more than 18 months .

@axxxr - it can be very rewarding to go out in your back garden on a clear night and simply look at the stars with your own eyes - or if you have a pair of binoculars (preferably 7x50s, 8x40s, or 10x50s) you can scan the sky with them or look at some star clusters and blow your eyes out!

I know how rewarding it can be!...i used to as a child spend summer nights in the garden with my brother and look at the stars with my toy telescope!...i've read a few books on the subject aswell and i want to take it further so i guess i'll have to invest in a decent telescope.

If more people went outside and looked up at the stars at night, the world would be a better place. Its quite humbling and decidedly awe inspiring. [addsig]

Oops, think I've threadjacked your post, Axxxr! And yes, you're right, a decent telescope can really enhance the hobby of stargazing. Perhaps I should start an Astronomy thread somewhere.

Oh and another gadget I like apart from my phone.... my PC of course, so I can browse fully here! And my broadband connection, best thing I've invested in for ages!
