would you go for the "cool factor" designed Motorola v80.. yes, the swivel
OR
the function-packed (could be better..but still pretty good) SE k700??
thanks..all help appreciated..imagine if you were a girl.. haha.. cuz i personally don't think the k700 is that good looking...what do YOU think?
EDIT: btw, I don't want to have to do a software upgrade.. and it seems like its common with the k700.. compared to the v80. am i correct to assume this???

Hi rabitootoo, go for the E398 instead of the V80.  The latter is more expensive and it doesn't have expandable memory.. I bought a white E398 2 weeks ago and it has good stereo speakers.. Not stereo Hi-Fi, but good enough stereo for a mobile phone..
By the way, are you a he or a she?

I went for the K700i, actually like the design, a bit sexy :p but im a SE fan, so i never consider any other phones..

Some things you would need to contend with when using a Sony Ericsson K700i:
- shorter battery life (than a T610)
- typical 'initial release Sony Ericsson software instability' (see numerous postings about this)..
- non-expandable memory (maybe 10-12 normal MP3 files max for a 41MB memory, if you don't have themes or pictures or games)
- none-stereo speakers
- and the same 'clickety-clack' keypad (too noisy to text during meetings! hehe)
- still the same boring 6 SMS tone choices
- and the dull design (pales in comparison with volcanic red T610, white E398)

Go for the k7.Just make sure it is flashed with r2l or upwards,and the phone is a winner.Forget moto and the awful itap(i think they still use,but not sure).But the decision is yours.

I'd go for a SE phone, so, out of the two you mentioned, I'd definitely go for the the SE K700. No doubt about it, not at all.

I bet Sony Ericsson will release an 'update unit' that will have expandable memory.. to the dismay of K700i users..
Go for K700i.. and be like everybody else.. Just like what happened with the T610.. |

@jjjaded13;not all users of the k7 require any extra memory(i still have 9meg remaining).And if money is no object,then what difference does it make.£300 sim free isn't exactly a bank overdraft affair.

thats probably why Im still leaning towards the v80...even though the k700 has the better function. cuz I think ill be getting the s700 when it comes out (the full function one), so now i can get the v80(the design) one so i have both sides of the road covered..?? hah
maybe cuz i don't really like how the k700 looks, and i think its kinda "too common" and "don't" wanna/know-how-to get the software upgrade anywayz. so yep.
Hahha, I think most people who answered my topic was k700 users/used it before? (now i think it over... too common) |
