Hi,
I have recently bought an R520m via ebay, phone is great but..........
I downloaded the manual from SE website and discovered my menus etc are different, same features more or less just different to access.
Then rang Orange (UK) to data enable my sim and the operator told me that the phones serial he was viewing was not normal ericsson, usually reserved for trial/test units.
I emailed SE about it and basically they didn't want to know.
My question is can i upgrade my software, how much does it cost to upgrade ?
Current version is R1f

as long as there is warranty (either by purchase date or by production date) on the phone the software update is free of charge.

You have to upgrade. You seem to have the first firmware version. The later ones have more functions, (equal to T39m). The upgrade is free if your phone is not older than one year. |
