Has any one here built there own IrDA interface that connects to the motherboard? I want to build one but having a hard time locating the components and my local Maplins aint been to helpfull.

Someone used tfds6502e instead and seemed to be ok.
Or just buy one ready-made

RS components have practically every electrical part or its equivalent, at very reasonalable prices.
They certainly have the infrared modules I checked myself. |

Has anyone seen the schematic for a Infrared to Com port interface?
I thought I saw one, but can't seem to find it again on the web.
