SE T610 Continuously Rebooting |

Help Guys! Please!
My t610 will power up long enough for my network provider ( 02 ) to be recognised, then it will soft reboot.
It will do this continuously, until I pop the battery!
Can anyone help me to fix this issue?
I've tried accessing the Master Reset options in the time available to me before the reboot - but it hasn't gotten me anywhere....
help! |

Its probably a software bug. Have you still got a warranty? Take it to a service centre and tell them about it.

If not try getting the phone reflashed or upgraded

plugged in, battery drainedm, battery recharged, everything!
I've even tried it with another t610 battery!
all result in same cycle, forcing me to "pop the battery".
the only way i've managed to get it to "stay on" is when there is no SIM in the unit.
So thank god it isn't the battery - and the general consensus seems to be that I need it flashing... now - how to find a service centre . . . sure i've seen a post on this somewhere...
unless someone knows off hand of a centre in Barnsley / sheffield / leeds in Sth Yorks?
Cheers all for the responses so far! |

Try moving the SIM card about a bit, I had this same problem but with my k700 when it was brand new. I just repositioned the SIM card a bit, kind of hard to explain, but I think it was something to do with the contacts as it never happened again after that.
Otherwise, get a new SIM?

Yeah try cleaning the metal contacts on the sim |

That will probably solve the problem, yeah. Have you tried the phone with a different SIM?
BTW, does anyone know if SE phones are vulnerable to this:

Could be another possible explanation.

unfortunatley I am unable to take the phone back and get a new one because it is over 1yr old - hence no manufacturers warrenty remains.
i can't take it in to my service provider either as i have upgraded to k700i - the t610 I'm giving to my lil' lady and it stopped working!
@kookie - can you please let me know how you get on with the service centre and the t610 firmware upgrade?? I don't quite fancy forking out over £30 when I can't guarentee that it will work or not!!
thanks for all your help! |
