Hi guys!

My Ir-port on my phone fell of last night. Don't know how it happened, but now, it is just a hole on the spot where the ir-cover was located... Anybody who knows what I should do?? Have not tested the ir after it fell off, but I assume that it still works.

I can't understand HOW it fell off, because I only carry it in my pocket, and I have never dropped it or something... But I have insurance (NetCom TotaltForsikring Pluss) on my phone, so I hope this is covered...

Any idea what to do?? And any suggestions on WHY that little ir-cover fell off?? Tried to search the forum after other identical cases, but didn't find anything. The volum-button is a popular missing item... but I didn't find any case about missing IR....

it is impossible for the ir port to fell off unless they forgot to solder ...
are u talking about the ir cover or the ir itself?

if ir, thats a factory defect. you should return your phone from where you bought it.

Bring it back to store
(I just love to say that! )
It shouldnt be possible for you to damage de IR cover in any way so it "must" be seen on as a manufacturing defect!!

Anyway, good luck johanch - I doubt there will be any problems, except that you migt have to leave you phone for service "a day or two"

Hehe... Just found the ir-cover in my pocket... Seems like it just fell off the phone. Strange.... I'll go to a SP tomorrow and ask them to check it out. That will be my first visit to a SP where I don't ask about any upgrade :-)

Hehe... They will get a flying start of the week :-) I really hope I don't need to leave my phone at all, but if I have to, is it possible for of to get a replacementphone? Since I'm insured..? What do you think?

MrNoodles.... Do you think there will be any more upgrades for T68? Or was this latest MMS-update the last?

My opinion is that the only upgrades that will come are bug fixes, and "soon" enters P800 the stores

As I sees it the phone has everything ever mentioned - but I may be wrong!

Oh well... T68 is the most perfect phone on the market right now. Going to stick to this phone for a while. Will wait for the next model after P800, maybe P900 :-)
