Hi, I am a new user to the forum as i have only just got a T68.
I was wondering what the benefits of upgrading to T68i are and if its worth it. Also, have people had problems with it?
I see people have had this done at the carphone warehouse (i'm in the UK) - does it cost anything?
thanks in advance |

The melodys are alot better, u can save pictures to people in the phone book, the games are different including battle fleet (battle ship) no tetris though, it has screen savers can store more backgrounds, a t9 text input is quicker. where did u buy ur t68 from? if u got from carphone warehouse then the upgrade is free!! |

I got mine from Phones 4U - it wasn't till afterwards that I found out there was a T68i and that the T68 could be upgraded to it.
I have noticed in some areas of the forum people have had problems. Are these common? |

It doesn't matter where u got it from. My T68 came direct from Orange, but Link Telecom in Keighyly did mine for me free of charge. You just need to find your nearest ericcson servive point. |

If its not much trouble getting to a service point then YES!
The extra's you get are a lot of fun, but not really vital until mms becomes more common. |

thanks.
just one more thing - i've read that some people have had problems with the upgrade. Do you know if these are common/how bad they are?
I also read that someone supposedly had his phone upgraded but then found out that it hadn't gone up to the most recent version. What is the most recent version and how do I find out which one i have on my phone?
Any answers would be great

I have had no problems with my phone, except u have to mess around with your phone nymbers because the new software stores them slightly differently, and u have to reinput any wap or gprs settings etc.
Neither of these things took me a long time. When u take your phone in ask for the mms software or T68i software. In your messages folder, if there is no mention of mms then u have the older (non mms) software. |
