Hi guys,

I have tried to arrange a straight swap of my new p900 case for the standard new p800 case with someone on here. We both agreed to pay our own postage and to send the item. Being a bit suspicious (the other person kept not replying, then replying and apologising etc) I decided to send my item once I had received the other case.

The other case has never arrived and the other person started asking me if I had sent mine to them. When I asked if they had sent theirs they said yes they had and it might be a couple of days in the post. I have received three PM from them asking when I would send mine and saying that they had sent theirs.

I have now explained that I am waiting for theirs to arrive and that I will send mine as soon as it arrives. They have now sent me a PM saying that they dont want to trade with me anymore so it wont be coming !!! It appears that they either never sent it and lied or they can reach into the mail system and recover their case without it ever arriving here.

I have sent a PM asking for an explanation and one has not been sent.

I know its only minor as it would not have been very much loss but should I name the person on here as they appear to be behaving dishonestly ? I am concerned that they may try to obtain other things on here in a similar fashion.

What do you think folks ?

If he tried to cheat you, he will probably do the same with others. Or maybe he wanted you to send first, vice versa. If you think his intentions were mean, name him.

Maybe the other part just thought the same way as you.
So if you think he's being disonest, he can think the same thing about you.
The initial agreement (and not a secure one, may i had) was for both of you to send the cases. And you surely didn't send it (as you said). [addsig]

Had you told him/her that you had not sent out yours? Maybe he/she had the same doubts as you, therefore arent you as bad as each other?

I didnt tell him I had sent mine so I wasn't dishonest; he said that he had sent his to me several times. Because of the low value of the item it seemed OK to do it on trust but I just got a feeling he wouldn't follow thru with it and decided to send mine once his arrived. The deceit is that he told me he had sent his and complained at not receiving mine !!!

I didn't tell him I had sent mine, I had/have every intention of sending mine in a fair swap. He claimed he had sent his and complained on not receiving mine so I dont think its the same, do you ? If he simply doubted my word he wouldn't have said he had sent his, he would have said hey guy, I'm waiting for you too !

anyway I'll leave it for a few days to see if he comes back and explains, if not I will name him to prevent others having a problem.

Well as long as you did'nt tell him/she you sent it already then you have every right to be pissed and should name and shame to wear other members off dealing with this person!

Not that this should be a forum for moral debate, but let me have a go.

Surely your deceit came first! You both agreed to send something to each other, but you immediately decided not to. So you were the first one to break your deal. You claim that you always intended to send yours out, but you haven't invested any faith in the other party like you wanted him to do. Why do you feel that he should trust you and not vice-versa?

I think the guilty party here has named himself - you'll be lucky if any other members agreed any transactions with you in future if this is your approach.
