Hi there, i have had my phone for about a month now and have only just tried the bluetooth function. I can receive items such as photo's, but when i try sending, the phone searches for devices fine, but once i have choosen the device i wish to send to, nothing happens and i just get the message connecting, the only way to stop this is to take the battery out. Is there anything i can do to sort this, or is my phone faulty?
Any help would be fantastic, Thanks |

welcome to Esato guys.
Strange, I dont have problem sending files via BT. I did once experience that problem when sending to a nokia 6230. My friend didnt notice the message that appeared asking if you want to accept the file b'cos he was playing some game. But that was only once.
Try upgrading to the latest firmware R2L. Although it shouldnt give problems even with R2A. Take it to the service center asap and tell them the problem.

With your description of the problem, I guess you haven't paired your phone yet with the ones you're sending to. Go to Menu>Connectivity>Bluetooth>My devices>New devices. It will scan and display whatever bluetooth device is enabled at that moment and when you add this it will ask for a code. Just enter 0000 and the same will be asked from the other device - the other device has to enter 0000 as well for it to be accepted.
You can now send pics, sound, etc. to this device using BT. Some devices don't ask for this but most new ones do for security reasons, I think.
resistance is futile. |
