I don't think u can have custom message alerts, only ringtones which is a shame, it might be possible in a firmware update. |

Linkinpark17UK is right. The K700i only allows you to use one of the 6 pre-determined sounds for a txt alert.
If you still wan't some Bo selecta sound clips, I have a few I could let you have. - just say the word.
It's a shame SE don't let us change our txt sounds, but hey thats's life...

Here ya go...
I have uploaded the mp3s to a website:
http://www.davidwjemery.com/chazza55
This is borrowed webspace, so I am not sure how long I can leave it there.
NB: I think there are a couple of versions of the word you are after there, so feel free to browse or take all of them.
It i have to take them down before you get them, just PM me and I will make arrangements to get them to you.

Just to add...
If you want an edit of the clips, they can be cut up using something like nero wav editor.
Or let me know and i may be able to sort something.
Hope they're what you're after... |

If you are using a pc, you right click on the one you want, then click "Save target as.."
Then chose where to save the file on your pc.
I guess you then use the standard method you use to download them to your phone.
Did i misunderstand? do you not have a data cable/bluetooth facility?
I could enquire about getting them put onto a wap site, but cant promise anything as it is my bro who is the web geek not me.
let me know... |

I personally use the bluetooth connection as I have the logitech di novo which doubles up as a BT hub.
I notied that some of those clips are still wav files, can i suggest you convert them to mp3s purely from a file size point of view. (not that they are big enough to make much difference)
I found the easiest way to transfer files is NOT to use the "My K700" app on the pc, but to just right click the file and "send to bluetooth" and then pick the phone ~ it will automatically put it in the sounds folder.
NB - you must have registered the phone with the bt connection prior to transfer.
EDIT: If you dont have bluetooth, you can pick up a BT dongle for about £15 - 20 quid depending on where you get it.
otherwise you could splash out on one of the wired SE transfer stations. (docking bay) - Although i hav heard rumors about compatibility issues with the docking stations + K700
