It doesnt actually increase memory what it does is hide all the predefined stuff and show faulty free space . It is probably a software bug.

Think after master reset the fw starts to reload the pre items back in the 13th second and by removing the battery this action fails, so later its not shown. But as written before its not deleting more hiding them.

I tried this trick on my previous t230 for at least 100 times and it never worked. On that one which im using now it worked for the first time. And, by the way, its really 12.5 second trick, if we are picky :-D

the 13 sec trick has worked on my t310 all the time. i've never had any real problem with it crashing the phone or anything like that. it does however go a little overbord sometimes and delete stuff i had downloaded. oh and i think it actully does delete the stuff not hide them. i think there are two memory chips in the phones. the phone predefined items are stored on one pernamently and are copied into the second memory during master reset. when u do master the reset the phone clears everything in the second memory and loads the first one into it. but by taking out the battery it stops it from copying the predefined items thus creating more space

I did the trick lots of times i managed to get 1097kb free on my t310. Now when i do a master reset only 8kb of stuff come back:-)

As i see, it works mosty on the t3xx series.
