Hey,
I read somewhere that the latest version of XTNDConnect PC, the soft i use to sync my T68i with my ciomputer, is version 4.9. is it true? Where can i find it, because on SE website its a very old version.
And what's the latest firwmare for the T68i. My mobile phone is more than 3 years old. I had one updatem because i had a lot of problems. I went from something like R1 to now R8A015. But i got again a lot of problems like freezes and shutting down whenever i dont want them. So is there another new update that could maybe repair these bugs? And if no, should I ask my SE center to reflash my phone. Or maybe there is a "format" thing they can do to repair everything?!
Thanks |

If you are looking for software to sync the contents of the mobile, try the saanlo mobile phone book manager.
You will be able to manage the phonebook numbers and also have an sms inbox.
Have a look at the screenshots

Thanks but i'm happy with XTND. It's integrated to Outlokk and easy to use. What about the other questions i asked?

No! I wrote in my first post that the latest version for Sony Ericsson mobile phones is 4.9. You can buy it on XTND website. But i dont wanna pay for it, so maybe there is a free version for T68i users, just like the free version we received with the SE installation CD. |

R8A015 is the last release for T68i. It is stable. Maybe u can try a master reset. I am runing xtndcPC 4.7 for Ericsson with no problem. Ver 4.9 should work fine for u.

The number 1.5.9 represents the number of the software bundle. There are drivers and dial-up connection wizard and other useful stuff in it. Among other things XTNDconnect 4.9. I have 1.5.9 installed, use it with a T68i and when I check the "About XTNDConnect PC" in my windows start menu it shows version 4.9. |

So i have the latest FW... Is it possible to go to a SE center and re-flash my phone with the same FW. Because i have been getting a new problem since a few days: I must use the charger to "boot" my phone. If i press the No button for a few secs to start the phonem, there is the bip and then enter your pin. But when i release the NO button, the phone shuts down! That's really strange. The only way to start it is to use the charger. And then it works, ad the battery still lasts 4-5 days.
So should i try a master reset or should i go to a SE center to ask if the can either "format" the phone, or apply again the FW?!
@dracula
I only need to download the package on the SE website, and i'll have the latest XTND version? Can you tell me where to see the actual number version i got?
Thanks a lot |

Yup, it's possible to re-flash the phone. If there is a SE centre, the best way is to get their help. Anyway you can perform a master reset by yourself, just remember to backup important data before reset. But it will not be help if you get actually a hardware fault. Good luck!

Ok, thanks, i'lll try this. But is SE able to reset my phone by an other way than the master reset option in the phone? Maybe a "big reset" or i don't know what would help.

Re-flash will just do a big reset, while it will rewrite the program area. The user area such as phone book will remain. If your phone was orėginlly upgraded from a T68m but not by an official service centre, it is highly suggested to go to the service.
