Hey all.
I have had problems with my USB data cable for a T610. The darn thing just doesn't work. I have installed the software from the cd including "Dial-up networking wizard".
This networking wizard doesn't recognize my phone, so I can't run any other program.
What's wrong with me? Or better yet what's the deal with my computer?

@KiMcHeEbOi: In his original post, zogorean is refering to an "USB data cable for a T610".

@zogorean: What do you want to do with your connected phone, cable and computer?

I have downloaded many many themes to this phone, and would like to upload some of them. Also my girlfriend has the same phone, and she has been **** my mind for this cable to work.
It is a USB connected cable, model MA-8910c. I have installed everything there is, but XP does not recognize it, and neither does Dial-Up Networking wizard.

Ok, I see.

Why not consider to use floAt's Mobile Agent (fMA)? It depends on what you want to do, but it can really do quite a lot.

For further information, take a look at floAt's Mobile Agent Online and fMA f[??] Mobile Agent, software for sms and phone monitoring.

For free download, click on floAt's Mobile Agent Online - Fma 0.1.1.15 RC3 - Setup File.

Very nice program indeed.
I've tried that also, but everytime I plug my phone to the cable, windows xp tells me that is has found a usb device it can't recognize.
Do I have to install some drivers for FMA, or can it find my phone without anything.
Also which driver is best suitet for my t610?
A file called "SemT610.inf" came with the cd, but windows can't use this file as a driver for some reason... Please advice!

Personally I use an SE DCU-11 USB-cable connected to my SE T610. The CD that came with the USB-cable has a very simple USB-driver installation procedure: Just insert the CD and click on a link!

The fact that Windows XP tells you that it has found an USB-device that it can't recognize indicates that there might be something wrong with the USB-driver.

No, you don't need any special drivers for fMA. Yes, fMA should be able to find your phone.

As I don't know anything about the MA-8910c USB-cable I have no idea which USB-driver to use.

You need a driver for your USB cable. Please... don't buy any USB adapter/device unless it comes with its own software driver.

Go to tech.prolific.com.tw and download the "L-2303 USB to Serial Bridge"driver.

Oh... there is specific driver for your MA 8910C here

Thank you all for your help. You have been very very helpfull in many ways. I have forgotten that I have a labtop computer with IR-port. Through the most simple little program, I can download any file to the phone including themes, pictures etc.

1000 thanx to all for helping here.
