I've got a friend of mine that works for ericsson, and he said he can flash my k700 with new software without problem, tho he mentioned something about low level programming that might be specific for vodafone that makes my phone not work. He was'nt certain, so there might not be any low level stuff specific for vodafone...

This will ruin my guarantee at vodafone, but I'm willing to take the risk..

Have anybody done this with any succes and can anyone verify that vodafone has no such low level stuff so I can flash my phone without risk? I want the most recent software (my phone sometimes hangs when using bluetooth )

thanks

best regards

Hi there, there is currently no solution to unlock or flash these K700s as of yet. I no from my supplier of tools that there is something in the pipeline the delay is due to se protecting the phone with RSA. Unlocking and flashing will require phone to be opened and test points used. Expect unlock and flash solution by end of this week. We will be the first to offer this service

So this unlock works for vodafone too?

I heard that vodafone is getting new software soon and my friend mentioned a place not far from where I live that upgrades for free, IF I have the receipt. Maybe I should wait for the new vodafone-specific software. My current software is 2 months old, and while that sounds quite new to me, under the roof of SE, it's very old

BTW, I live in Sweden, so might there be any difference between UK k700s and Swedish K700s when it comes to unlocking??
