Hi. I'm going to go to Dublin next week.
I really need to use GPRS there.
Does anyone know any local operator that supports this service? Any advice?
Thx,
Vinz (from Italy)

I believe there is GRPS there on Vodaphone, but it has been a while since I was back there |

Ět depends on the agreements with your home operator.
O2 and Vodofone have GPRS here, if you are with Vodofone in Italy then you will have no problems, I don't think O2 have any agreements with Italian operators yet. |

Hi Jester
I wasn't aware one could have GPRS autoroaming. Sure?
Anyways, are there any Pay as you go cards there that allow GPRS access? I might need one come Christmas |

I don't know about pay as you go, but I was pleasantly surprised to be able to use GPRS in Dublin when I was there for St Pats this year. I'm on contract with Vodafone in the UK. Even better was not appearing to get charged too badly for it, I think I was able to use my allocated data limit (don't have itemised bill though, so hard to tell).

Not sure, if the roaming is auto.
I am with O2 here in Ireland and when I travel to the UK or Germany I can use GPRS there while roaming on the O2 networks, however I can't use GPRS with Vodafone in these countries.
I'm not sure if you can use GPRS on Pay as You Go, I would think not but I could be wrong.
