This was a topic about a Mustang I found asking people what they thought...I knew it was a rare find, but wanted to know more about pricing to know how good of a buy it was...
Now this is a chat about classic car finds!

35,000 mi (original...mileage since it was bought; very long story...)
All original parts, nothing replaced!!! (even has one of those old click-thingy radios)
Paint job near mint, original paint
Original sales reciept (wow, it was like $2,000 back in 1970)
for $8,500
This REAL good, right?
I looked up stuff and so far this seems like a deal...
The dealer that's selling it is a friend of my dads, so I know it's not a rip-off...just wondering how good of a deal it is...?

That is a very good deal if everything is as you say it is. For a well maintained classic like that in mint condition you should probably expect to pay twice that. Give it a few good looks over to make sure everything is in order. |

check why hes selling it, but yes a great deal if its not got any problems

yes a good deal, especially if the original paint is in near mint condition after 34 years, must have been kept in a garage quite a lot.

he told me the whole story of it, its amazing...ill tell u guys when i get on a pc...that car is an extremely rare find.

ok, here's the story:
There was an old couple that had bought the car, when they died...it sat in their garage under ownership of that service-thingy when you die (you know how some service people get ur stuff when you die if there's no one to inherit it)
So that place owned it for a while, then some guy bought it off them as a gift for his wife as a surprise, so he hid is from his wife for a while, but later ended up getting her a different vehicle in the end.
After that, he decided to store it off his property at some place (can't remember if it's the lot where I saw it, or somewhere else)...soon he sold it to my dad's friend that owns a used car buisiness where they both sell and restore cars.
So this car has basically been sitting in a garage since the 70's, nothing has been changed or removed from it and they even have the eriginal papers and sales reciept from 1970...I'm sure my dad could get him to lower the price a couple thousand too!
My parents trust these people too, more than any other place...the guy that owns the buisiness was real good friends with my dad, and every car my parents have bought in the past years have been from him!

yeah...
it's a great deal, but I have a 50% chance of getting it...I need a car that I can ddrive ALL the time, and it's not good to do that to a classic car!

I've always been a fan of classic cars, and driving them. A car is no good if you can't drive it or feel bad about it. Its not like you would be buying it to take to shows. I say buy it and drive it. |

hey! talking about mustang! our family owns a 1973 mach 1 mustang 351 engine (fastback). original color is red with highlights of gold. my old man changed it to black with highlights of gold. my father loves that car more than we do. ahehehehe.... fully restored. even the contact point is original. just sharing my mustang moments.
