hi
i'm new here, but i've searched the forums and find a post where it states my problem, but no answer was given.
here it goes:
i bought dss-20 to update my k700i when available and also for sync, but i found the file transfer rate to be sooooo slooooow. i configured the virtual ubs-serial port baudrate to maximum and also the max transfer speeds available and usb-serial config only lets me choose a maximum of 4096 bytes for downlink/uplink speed. is this normal? why is the speed so low? to transfer 2.1mb of data (midis, themes and small mp3) it took near 20 minutes. even IR connection with my laptop where faster.
every1 else is having these speeds or it's a bad config? for the record, i have xp+sp1 and latest dss-20 drivers from sonyericsson page. i also tried the p800 drivers.

Hi,
This is the age of wireless device.
Better off if you use IR or BT ti transfer data. They are fast and stable.
After all, thats what you paid for...high tech stuff....
No good if you don't use them......
I don't use wire anymore...
Its cheaper to buy a IR eye and BT dongle than buying a DSS... |
