An increase of 25%, forecasts IDC in the sales of mobile telephones in
the countries of Middle East and Africa, before the end of this year. The research of IDC reports that before 2005, around 50 millions mobiles will be distributed, when in 2003 the sales did not exceed the 40 million.
Particularly in the countries of the Persian Gulf, the connections of mobile telephony are more from those of constant, while the governments are expected to invest 25% of their chalk-lines on the growth of infrastructure and in the extension and improvement of telephone networks. Researches report that roughly 3 billions dollars have been invested by the beginning of 2003 up to today.
The research of IDC however presents many interesting facts:
Provided that in the particular countries the number of virtuous young
age is big enough, it is certain that the rate of the market growth of telecommunications in the Middle East, will be shortly bigger than that in Europe. First country with regard to the demographic infiltration of services of mobile telephony is Dubai with a percentage of 90%, almost the same with that of Italy and Finland, while United Arabic Emirates follow with 62,5%.

I agree.
1. Dubai is a city, not a country. 2. The UAE is a country. Which leads me to the point that this post was put forward by the same person that posted that "I made a P800 into a P900" hoax. Still can not get the facts straight. |
