1. I opeded up the box, but the box seems like theres some things missing inside. I have the phone, battery and charger plus the manuals.
Is there anything else it should come with ?
2. Also the box had 3 security seals on it. (Each on top of the other) Two had been opened and the third was sealed. It seems to me like the phone may have been used before or was used for testing purposes as it only came on t-mobile last week. The phone looks bradnew but the battery had been open before as the wraper was not closed properly. The phone was manufactured in 02w17 (2nd or 3rg week April 2002)
Could the phone be reconditioned, if so how can i tell ?
Also i have not powered it up yet or tested it.
3. Should i send it back for a replacement ?
Please help! |

Check the joystick count:
>*<<*<* (Joystick move left and right and star sign)
Then check the joystick count
It's in the third menu item at the bottom
Succes (send it back if the joystick count says it's used before)

And the joystick counter can be >0 if the ppl. at the store showed the phone for a customer.
So I dont think you should worry to much about it!
Enjoy it instead
BTW. wasnt there a CD with SW on in the box?

Sorry, the phone also came with waranty info and software CD 2002.
Just tried the software count and could not get it to work. Probaly, because there is no sim card in there yet. I will go home put a card in it and see what it displays.
What does 'ppl' mean which is mentioned in the previous thread. |

But couldnt tmobile reset this counter ?
Also,correct me if i'm wrong,
if tmobile performed a master reset, doesnt that mean that there should be no mms and pictures stored in the phone ?

The joy counter can be reseted by a SP.
And yes if they have doen a MasterReset all MMS, Pics etc. would be gone!!
But the Joycounter isnt reseted by a Master Reset!

Thanks for your help.
I'm gonna go home in 15mins and insert my sim and see what the results are.
If counter >20 then it's going back and if no mms or pictures are there is also going back. |

Powered up the phone with sim inserted and check counter status.
Counter was 17, which was roughly about the amount of times i used the joystick. So that was ok.
Also check all pictures, mms etc and software.
Pictures were all there.
The software version is r2b025 which i believe is the latest.
So i thnik i'll keep the phone.
And definelty the t68i RoCKS! - But i hate the t9 text message - Prefer the Nokia. |
