before i went out tonight, everything was working fine..i disabled my bluetooth when i left my house, re-enabled it when i got home and BOOM nothing works... my phone cant see my computer, my computer cant see my phone ...i was using FMA before I went out and it was working fine. I charged my phone, disabled bluetooth and left.
unfortunately my computer doesnt even find my Z600 when i "search for devices within range"....
it was working fine before!! i reinstalled my bluetooth software (re: john's guide specs) but now im thinking its my phone?
the LED on my dongle (an Air2U / Silicon Wave device running WIDCOMM 1.4.2 Build 10) will blink green steadily unless its searching for a device, in which case it will blink very quickly .. should this be?
also, i havent once been asked during the reinstallation of my software for a PIN ... shouldn't i have or is that only in the event it makes a connection?
thanks! any help would be greatly appreciated |

isn't that PAIRING that is required when it asks for a PIN? You have to do that. Also I assume you didn't change your firewall settings. |

yeah .. it doesnt even get to pairing..
i've tried installing the dongle on two different computers with various windcomm drivers .. no go ..
so its either the dongle or the phone .. im running out now to get a new dongle .. if it doesnt work, the phone has to go back .. while i dont want to place blame on anything, my bluetooth was working fine before i started using FMA ... eek! |
