Does anyone know if there such thing as a bluetooth drive out there? something small with about 128-512mb memory that acts as a mini bluetooth drive so i can carry it around n transfer files to and from my k700? i think its a cool idea but i dunno if they exist :S i imagine they would

Expansys have a combined Bluetooth adapter/USB flash drive with 128MB memory for £52.95 (link) - seems expensive to me though.

Or there's a 256MB version at blueunplugged.com for £49.95.

Google around for more...

not exactly what you're looking for, but my x-live mp3 player can send/recieve things over bluetooth, as well as acting as a hands-free kit. It's 256mb, and comes in at around £160/170

Done much the same with my Ipaq. use the Ipaq for mobile internet with the k700i as the bluetooth modem. What's been easy is sending mp3s to the 700 via bluetooth (got 4 of us at the office exchanging music) only thing is we want to use the mp3s for ringtones. Any ideas?

i guess using a PDA is an idea....maybe i'll get a cheap bluetooth capable PDA with an MMC/SD slot n use that.......even though they're still quite big to carry around......if only SE had put an MMC/SD slot on k700i or make a clip-on memory reader/writer or someone could work out a way to modify the old SE mp3 player (HPM-10?) to work in this way

Bluetooth is too SLOW for this kind of filemanagement! When I put mp3´s on my z1010 via bluetooth, it takes several minutes per song...
Sony Ericsson stuff I use:

yeh it takes me a while to bluetooth mp3s to my k700 but it all depends on how long u can be bothered to wait hehe...i just think it'd be cool to have the option to swap the music on the go when you're bored of the stuff on your phone

it's not bluetooth, it's the fact that you've only set up a serial connection, as that's all the phone can manage. Bluetooth itself is very fast. I think you need to do some reading.

well we're not really bothered about the actual speed of bluetooth (which is only between 700-800kbps at the moment which i wouldnt really call really fast!) i think we both knew we were talkin about the speed of bluetooth when using our phones with such a device mentioned in the topic just for the fact we were sticking to the topic
