Why do you want a gmail account?
There has been loadsa rumours about spying on mail etc inside the account. Just wait a few months and hotmail will have 250mb storage which is more than enough for an email account.

Just wanna see what all the fuzz is about...since google developed a superior search engine thought that maybe they had the brains to come up with a great email solution...apparently not but i still want to give it a try |

Are you serious!?? Hotmail is going from 2mb to 250mb??? Come on? MS are bound to charge for that! |

No,hotmail will provide 250mb for free users and 2gb for registered users.itll happen only after a month or so .

autum time i think, they are also upping the file size limit for sending documents to 10mb i think, and 20mb for premium users. It is fairly cheap as well at £14.99 a year.

Yip i did notice there was something on the hotmail site about paying £14.99 a year for 250mb of storage and 10mb attachments... But otherwise nothing about it becoming free?? |

£14.99 a year gets you 2gb storage and 20mb attachments 
Free gets you 250mb (plenty) storage and 10mb attachments
They are also putting up proper anti-virus and firewall protection as well, think that is on both free and plus accounts, but maybe wrong.

Nop they are not.. Just if you need more than than 250 MB.. 250 MB will be uppgraded her in Europe within Oktober 2004 with 250 MB space, for free users..
