Hi all,
Just got my HBH-15 today, it's a nice headset but, can someone explain why the serial number on the headset (tiny sticker at the back of headset) are different with the serial number on the box? Im just worrying if the seller give me second hand product but with a new box.
Can someone explain please??

return it to the shop. They've either put the headset in the wrong box or it's a fake...

did you get the same serial number on your headset and on your box?
serial number on my box are: DPY 901 291/xx R1B (SonyEricsson label)
serial number on my headset are: KRY 901 99/xx R1A

I actually do not have the headset, but the serial number on the product & on it's box hould really be the same for all things...

but actually I didnt know is it the serial number? or just a code:-?  , because it doesnt say:
IMEI: 3741723-8541-83641=237 <---- like label on mobile phone box
it just say:
Sony Ericsson Mobile Comnunications AB
DPY 901291/xx R1B
HBH-15
Kit contents.....blah blah blah

I got a HBH-15 about 2 weeks ago. Mine has the numbers mentioned above both on the set and the box. So, I guess they don't need to be the same since they are not like IMEI numbers.
But why are mine the same as the numbers mentioned above? I have the number DPY...... on the box, and KRY....... on the set. It is made in Russia in 02W10. |

I think your number and mine are the same because, all of the HBH-15 number are the same, its only the product code, mine also made in Russia
When I get back to the shop, the seller told me that it is supposed to be like that, lot of people buy HBH-15 asks about this(why different box and headset number), he said. Then he show me another box of HBH-15 and all have same number with the one I purchase. |
