hi. time for a rant about these people (you know who you are) who reply to posts with endless smilies and no actual reply. WHAT IS THE POINT??? the joke thread is the worst after every joke there are half a dozen posts with that STUPID animated laughing smiley. WHY??? if all these were deleted out of the hundreds of replys in that thread there would only be 20 left! please Laffen either stop smilies altogether or limit it to 1 per post as long as there is a proper reply as well. When i had my t300 i used to go mad because it would take ages to load all of them and it wouldnt always let me go to the next post. Well i feel better now! (and i do know someone is going to reply to this with a dozen smilies).

While i am here i seem to remember a post about not being able to stay logged in on a p800. i know you are a busy man Laffen, but i was just wondering if that is being worked on because thats stressing me too!

I love smilies, however I use them sparingly.

Smilies are great, as long as they are used sensibly and they fit in with what you are saying.

But its sometimes really boring to wait on wap cos many smilies are in a post. Of course its a minor problem, but based on a true fact.

Smilies never load on my was so it doesn't really HAVE to be a problem imho. I gotta say that personally I an much more annoyed by the use of certain words, 'idiots' included, than by the use of smilies. Smilies CAN be a great way to enhance ones text, however I gotta say not everybody seems to know what each smilie means and a seemingly joking text full of the :roll: smilie may well be taken offensively ;-) All in all, I do not feel they are an issue. So my suggestion to you is to relax ;-)

@themarques

I've removed 98(!) of your smilies from your previous post here.
It actually caused my K700 to crash on Esato Light.

Like most anything that is free, it tends to get abused. I suggest that you politely but firmly remind those members who are notoriously overdo it to keep them at the minimum level.

(Some don't even post a word, just a smilie or an image.)
