Due to the reason unknown T39m resets itself listening volume to minimum - 1/8. I suspect it somehow connected with IrDA/GPRS-sessions.

Is it common problem with firmware version R3A022 (prgCXC125310) and upgrading FM will be a cure?

Yes, under "IrDA/GPRS-sessions" I meant connecting to Internet via t39 dialing *99# on my Palm and notebook.
Notebook has this script string in the modem settings:
"+CBST=0,0,1;+CHSN=1,1,0,4".

on your PDA, try setting the modem volume to off (instead of low, medium, whatever)
