Esato's losing quality!!! |

Is it just me or is Esato losing quality? It seems that as newer people join Esato, they always post the same questions. However, I notice many of the newer members don't seem to show their intelligence. Or they really aren't that smart. They are constantly told to use The Search, but never do. They seem to ask less and less intelligenou questions, and more. Yeesh!

lol you've been here a few months. i've been here for years. yes the quality is going backwords abit. but you'll still find everything what you need, just try a bit harder.
there have been suggestions about a seperate forum for the great old ones. or a card system like yellow or red cards when a person isn't behaving or zilver or gold cards for the special members. but laffen doesn't reply. he works in the back alot we can see that but still a reply on what he thinks about it would be nice.

i seem to have slowed down my usage of esato after the whole "K700/S700 " phase. I reckon once we get sum more juicy rumours i will be on a lot more.
Regarding the "newb questions" i dont really find that a problem. most of the time you know the question by looking at the thread title, so i just avoid them unless i can easily refer them to the relavant threads.

I am new here also and i desided not to set topic anymore. I just answer interesting questions, if i know the answer. New ones dont know the rules and ask anything they think of just that someone would post. Well anyway, ESATO RULZ! Have fun! Luka

>500 doesn't mean your a great old and once one.
some people just get a high post count by posting junk.
normally after some time you can see how's amoung the great old and wise ones.

the number of posts u have doesnt change the amount of knowledge u have!!! i mean have 500 + posts and dont know all that much about phones.
so you could be a wise member, u just havent spread ur wisdom very far yet

every few months a topic like this come up but its fairly useless really
Esato is what it is. Its an internet forum open to any who wish to come and visit and those that like it stay, those that come just for a quick answer might also stay while others come and go.
It is not possible to moderate general questions from new members for whom presumably esato is their first online forum. What should we do? remove their question if its been asked before? tell them how silly they are? or do we try and help them and point out how they could have found the answer in existing links so that they learn forum etiquette?
I prefer the latter solution so as not to scare first time forum members away.
Esato, like any other site, has its ups and down, it good time and its bad. Clearly by the number of regular members the overall view of members is a positive one so just have some tolerance of new members and do as I do, show them the way in a friendly manner
(and for for the love of god... forget the post count!)

@rdny . . . - Naaaaaaah, I guess it's just that one of those 'boring' days on your part I've been here for only 9 months, and as I can see it, I find younger members more intelligent than the old-timers - honest ! Of course with some exceptions to some of the oldies I'm sure that the discussion will be more exciting as long as a new SE fone model comes out in the market, just like that of the SE S700, SE P910 and Z1010 I guess it will depend on how you make/reply to some posts to make it more interesting and . . . spicy
Now, just see how 'humble' @masseur is . . . 'just forget the post count !' . . . why , because he is about to hit the 10K mark in no time mates !

I do like this place, team esato is the right one who should start and coordinate the changes. Esato is the nr 1 mobile forum, day by day new members sign in, those who just come here to spam or chat, will disappear aslong the major member apart and the mods manage and keep to the main reason of esato. Indeed, there is much to do in several cases, but its ok, aslong we are for esato and not esato for us.

I know there are exceptions. I was just browsing Esato on my phone and it bugged me to see so many threads asking the differences between phones. Why don't they look at the specs pages? Also, to Bart, I've been here for more than a year. I was just reincarnated (as masseur called it).

People would probably use the search function, but let's face it,it's about has good and efficient has most se technology.half of the resulting criteria is far from relevant,or maybe you love sifting through irrelevant text because you have lot's of available time maybe?
