If only they stuck to it !!
A friend who was on the development side of Ericsson tells me that the spot that the T68 joystick is in was originally destined to be an "on board camera". He left the company before the phone was released so he doesn't know why it was dropped. Also told me it's code name but I can't remember...."Red" or something like that. |

the code name can be true... but I don't believe in the cam thing... suppose there was a cam instead of the joystick... how should you navigate? |

...and how are you supposed to take photos? You can't see what you are shooting on. Haha, your friend must be joking! |

Before the T68 was released, I heard that Canon were making a Bluetooth digital camera to work with the T68, did this ever happen??

It was called "Pink" and a camera was definitely planned in the early days. I guess the joystick came along when the camera was dropped. |

If any of you visited the ericsson home page, press -> photos -> concept products for about a year ago you would have seen something you MIGHT be talking about now.
It figures in a flash-demo about 3G that was linked to from www.ericsson.com a day ago or something.
It was a red small pda/phone-thing with inbuilt camera, and it was just gorgeous! I would have guessed it was just a decoy and not a functioning device.
As I'm a cheap bastard I would never have paid for that though. Anything costing more than EUR 200 is a robbery. |

Looks alot like the 7650. And would the little blue thing be a earphone? Where would you be supposed to talk (if so)?
