Hehe - Must be a joke.
Why would anyone use DDR for a phone? Okay if you are a total idiot maybe, but no sane person would.
It has no effect whatsoever. Unless you have a 1 Ghz CPU in your phone but they don't even have that in PDA's yet.... |

Where? Throw a link, please.
A phone has NO use for DDR-RAM, and if someone is designing a phone with DDR Ram it must be gimmick to lure stupid people into believing the phones has better performance. It will not matter!!! |

Hi! Thats for everyone who didnt believe me. I found article but its written in slovene language. You can find it on wap.mobisux.com/wapnovice.php?para=12095_0_0 I will translate it in english: samsung presented new RAM, developed especially for PDA and mobile phones with capacity which is required for 3D games. New RAM will have capacity 256Mb(32Mb) DDR. Similar to those for PC. Mobile DDR x32 as they named it, will have 16B/s transfer, which will be enough to support 3D applications and gamesOUTofSPACE

It might probably matter all future phones.it will provide enough bandwidth for bandwidth hungry apps like 3d games for mob, itll require more bandwidth than our existing techs.so no wonder if ddr to come to mob.

Well one thing is that Samsung actually developed the RAM, another thing there is NO phone announced with DDR.
Sure Samsung, as the worlds leading RAM-manufacturer has to produce the foundation for the mobile phone makers, but there is still a long way to a phone with DDR RAM. It is just nonsense with our current technology and according to the link IT SAYS NOTHING ABOUT A PHONE..... I rest my case |
