Hi,

Where can I get a basic ringtone for the k700i? I just want a low pitched ringtone like the low pitched tone that was on theold nokia 8850.

Thanks,

It's not that funny. All the ring tones on the K700 are total and utter crap!

I second that.. tecnically speaking they´re brilliant, but rather embarrassing when you´re around the "suits" at work..
But why not use some of the Old phone rings floating around everywhere?
Or some .IMY basic ring?

how about using the 'sony ericsson' one or get someone with a t6x0 to 'old phone' to you. they are both pretty alright tones considering before the rise of 'polyphony' i was forced to listen to endless repetitions of 'nokia tune' whilst on the train...grr.....
and i swear 'higher sense' has been completely and utterly plagiarised from that 'ain't nobody...... loves me better..... ain't nobody.... makes me feel this way' song. sorry. just thought i'd point that out.

I have tried a couple of imy tones tonight. They're an improvement on the built in tones.

What I really want is just a standard phone ringing sound, maybe in polyphonic format.

@Ro, like this?

Ringtone from:

http://www.sonyericsson.com/fun/

It's one of the Old Phone ringtones that ThreeX was talking about (i think)

I have a rather large collection of "normal" ringtones that's perfect for you! Pm me your email address and I'll send them to you. As I wrote in another topic: A phone should sound like a phone - no more no less! I have a good stereo in my car and appartment that plays music for me Besides, most fellows here spend much time collecting their favourite song as a tune... then when the phone rings they get all red in the head and wish they were a little more like me

I too have been horrified to discover that the only ring tones available are kiddy-style polyphonic nightmares. What's wrong with a phone that RINGS?! I don't want one that SINGS!!

My research led me to enter a Google-search for "ericsson IMY ring" which in turn will show a useful FTP site from which you can find P800 ringers. BUT the K700 seems to play these at a very low volume.

I've been using Ericsson since 1994, starting with a 337 then going right through the range - and now to this point of frustration. I think this is the end of my relationship with Ericsson, if they are so blind to the needs of users.

Yeah there are hundreds of downloads for MUSICAL RINGTONES but not nice, normal ring rings. Even sound effects would be a nice change. Will se ever learn. Nokia has sound effects and normal rings. Get with the program Sony Ericsson.
