K700,T610 data transfer cables |

I have had too many problems with Bluetooth so I want to get a cable to send stuff from PC to phone. Do cables send data faster than bluetooth and are they easier to use? Also what are some good ones that work with K700-T610 and T630? Thanks! |

Cables are much SLOWER than BT or IR, however they should be easier to set up. Just use float's mobile agent as the software and you'll be fine. You can get serial or USB versions, from SE, or after market versions, which are cheaper. Aftermarket ones labelled as "for T39" or any newer models are fine. Don't get the T28 cable. USB cables should come with software driver(or you'll have to download it yourself). Serial and USB cables have the same slow transfer speed.

that will be fine but if you want a USB cable for your K700 you'd be better to get the DSS-20 or DSS-25 sync station so you can use it also for firmware updates when the online service is available again
but don't pay expansys prices like that when you can get a DSS-25 for around 15 pounds on ebay from reputable sellers

Well I want to use it with T630, T610 and K700 so think i'll stick with simpler one! I find expansys easy to buy from and you can return items easily so I'll stick with that but thanks for the suggestion |

Aftermarket USB cable(provided it is labelled as for T39 or any newer models) from your neighbourhoold mobile phone store provides the identical function, using the same "Prolific" chip, at a fraction of the cost. |
