I do own T65 and I had the software upgraded to R4A007 on Wed (5/6/02) at goldhill. After I collect it from the SC, the fone keeps auto by itself!! Damnz....very fustrating especially when doing SMS halfway. Before the upgrade it wasn't so bad as it does have auto off problem but not so often now its like all the time, it even auto off & comes back on 3 times in a row! Worse still, it also auto off even if I didn't use the fone!!???? is there any T65 owners does have this problem?Should I get the fone to SC & had it checked again?

Hmmm, our T65 is still R3A. And with what you said, I don't think I will have it upgraded. Currently it is stable. No reboot, ho hang.

I call the Ericsson service, this firmware is essencialy for PBCCH support, in somes country pbcch will be used this summer or in september/october, so if you whant use GPRS with an PBCCH network you need this upgrade.

If your network don't use PBCCH for the moment, you can wait for a R4A without bug.

GN28 : try to do a master reset, sometimes update of firmware need a clean phone because somes settings can change between versions.

Menu's and T9 are faster and the phone doesn't crash anymore.

I went back to the SC, they say they have to do the upgrading again, after I recieve it I resetted the handphone thru' the master reset but the phone continue to auto off/on by itself though the frequency had been cut down.

Yes, i agree that some of the functions became faster but if the auto off/on problem is eliminated, it definitely be a terrific phone.

Thanks for the advise guys!
