U know guys how proud am I using Ericsson..This what happen,...One day as my family member went to a restaurant to have a dinner. This restaurant was located on the 32th floor. So when we sat down, my sister was suprise that her mobile signal was lost. She was having a Nokia3310 and most of family members are using NOKIA too (8210 and 3330) All the phone was no signal and when I see my phone(I'm using T39), to my surprise it has 1 bar.. thought that although it has one bar maybe still sometimes we still can't receive any calls. At last my phone rang when my friends called me and I'm so proud about that.Excellent!! Is it that external antenna is much much more better than internal antenna??? As i'm going to upgarde my phone to T68i,,just curious how the reception compare with ericsson T39?? |

I have both the T39m and T68i, and I would have to expriement with this some more.
Inside my home, they both get the same signal strength.

I think an important question to ask here if you all of you guys were using the same service provider...are you positive that the phone manufactirers had anything to do with it???

I had a Nokia 8210 before my T68 and the Nokia allways lost connection on a special spot on the way to work. My T68 has never lost connection at the same spot, so I'm sure it's better than my 8210.
It's the same SIM-card...

I have a T68, my whife has a 3210, same operator; we was having a pizza a few days ago; she had two bars signal and I had just emergency
we were deep inside an old building
Generally I'm satisfied of the reception of my t68 and i don't consider it a problem

Same here my T68i has slight better reception then my old Nokia 8210
but the 8210 also has build in antenna so I guess that don't answer the question if external antenna is much better.
I can tell you this I had 4 diffrent Ericsson gf768 that model has external antenna and the reception totally sucked not even close to the T68i so it's prolly not as easy as external antenna is always better then internal. I think you just have to compare diffrent models and not draw a simple conclution if external antenna is good or bad (I would never get a new phone with external antenna again).

What's so exellent in it???!?! You should be ashamed of your self. You should turn off your phone or atleat use the silent mode in the public restaurant. |

External Antennas are usually better than internal ones.
Where I live usually Nokia have better a signal than me, dunno why though. |
