How to enable the Minutetone on the K700 |

Hello,
there is no way to enable the Minutetone on a K700. The only way to enable it at the moment is to send a AT command to the Handy. I wrote a little program which helps you to enable the minutetone on your K700.
What is the minutetone? The minutetone reminds you in long calls after every minute that a minute calltime is over. So it can help you to save money
After enabling the minutetone you got also a little *beep* at begining of a call to show that you can talk now. It's a little workaround for the 1sec "bug" in begining of a call.
Here you can download this little tool for free: http://k700.hitziger.net
Sorry for my bad english

Not in the german firmware. I don't know if you can enable it directly on a english firmware.

It seems that only the menu for the minutetone is missing and menus can be hided from the firmware. Example: the friends option isn't shown on my K700 because there no provider in germany who support this feature.

Hmmm ... english firmware does'nt support the minutetone directly!? But the function is in the phone ... you can enable it and it's also in K700 AT Command reference of SE. But why did'nt SE implement a menu for the minutetone??? Weird ...
If you need the tone use my tool (easier) or a simple program like Hyperterminal which comes with windows (you have to send the AT command manually).

@boba
The pace is a lot faster now than back in -94 when my colleague worked temporarily at Ericsson in Lund
He tested battery performance in different conditions, like sun, heat and cold for 8 weeks *actually he was glad it was just for the summer*
Back in those days they released phones when they were ready to be released, not because the competitors were breathing down their neck..
Anyway I have now enabled minute minder on my 'K' (Thank you hitzi)
I wouldnt be surprised if the option to do so finds its way into the menu in upcoming FW-versions
