why some melodies are editable with the t68i composer and other no?

I think that is a bit strange as well. MAybe it depends on the size or something. But I don't know

It's a size thing. The phone can use a larger iMelody then the composer can handle. I do not like the composer a bit instead
I edit the iMelody with notepad (or any other plaintext editor at hand)
then upload it to the phone. Thats much quicker since the composer is slow as hell and don't handle as large iMelodys as the phone can use.

It depends on how you obtained the Imelody. Elements received in a SMS or downloaded from a WAP page are not editable. Only melodies created in composer, or transfered to the phone with Bluetooth, IrDA or cable can be edited.

This can not be the case since all mine have been transferred this way and a lot of them can not be edited on phone.

The right answer is that all e-melodies received in any way are not editable in an i-melody composer! It's just an extension matter.

The option of editing does appear when using an i melodies, but you can only edit some not all...
