Hi there, I am willing to pay someone to program a little app for me.

What I need it to do is record from the IR port and then be able to sent what it has recived back. Understand????

So I have this device and it uploads data to a PC, but I dont want to carry my PC everywhere I go. So if I could send it to my phone, somehow save it, file-whatever. And have multi-files and then when I go home, upload that data to my PC(laptop).

Who thinks they can do it and how much do you want for it?

I think Sony have already written it.

It's called PC Suite and came with your phone.

It allows you to connect your phone to any PC via infrared (or usb cable or bluetooth) upload or download any files to the phones memory or memory stick.

So if you have the software installed on both PC's it will work just fine.

no no no, your missing the point. ok......

I have a watch that records my training and it has a IR port. I then start a program on my PC and connect my watch to the IR port and click a button on my watch and it sends the data(not files) just data that is sent in a special way to my PC. Then the Software translates the bits that was sent and converts it to a file.

So I thought if I can record what is being sent from my watch, and then be able to send that(same signal) back from my phone to the PC.

So it will mirror copy what is been sent from my watch to the phone and does that exact same thing gets sent to my PC.

Does that help.

this sounds incredibly security related. would the person that produces the app be part of something slightly on the edge of some type of regulatory system?

well no, you could use the program for not very nice things, if you knew what to use.

The reason I need it is, the memory on my watch only records 9hours and 56mins of data. So if I do a Tour race, which last for about...5-21 days and about 4-6 hours a day i have to upload the data every day. So I can record the next days training or race. Which mean I have to bring my laptop everywhere I go.

I thought it would be nice if I could upload it to my phone(P800) and then from my phone to the Laptop at a later time. Because of the way it uploads the data from watch to PC, it sends in in a funny way, its not sending a file, it send all the values individualy, So the easiest way is to record whats been sent, capture that like an image and just send it back!

can anyone do this?
