Apart from songs the elegant iPod can store goverment secrets, so the ministry of defence in Britain does not allow the employees to use in their offices the popular device iPod as much as other portable storage devices with the fear growing of stealing important documents.
"With the USB devices you can connect straight into a computer and by-pass passwords and gain entry to the system" Peter Darden of RAF said.
He also mentioned that the ministry of defence took this measure once they started use Windows XP which is very friendly for users.
In a survey among 200 middle and large size companies in Britain, 82% claim that portable "jukeboxes" are a threat for security.
